Concerts and Tours
Fundraising, Education, and Awareness
We produce and promote concerts to either raise awareness about mental health, educate about ways to help prevent suicide, raise funds for suicide prevention, or all of the above. Our concerts in
2007 were in June in both Austin and Fort Worth. For 2008 we are planning outreach concerts for high schools, colleges, camps, and youth prisons all over Texas.

Film and Video Production
Fundraising, Education, and Awareness
We reach people in person through concerts, but with the use of video and sites like YouTube,
we can extend our reach much further. All of our video content will be
directed toward communicating our message of supporting friends who have mental health issues. However, we plan to accomplish that in several ways.

Youth Worker Training
Education and Awareness
Youth workers must be prepared to handle tough situations. What do you do when a student says they want to kill themselves? How do you ask a student
whether or not they are planning to kill themselves? What resources are available to help you in these situations? It also helps remove the stigma associated with
discussing suicide and mental illness when people are at least
more aware of it - which is why we also discuss situations and stories and statistics. The training is still in the planning stages and is hoped to begin being delivered in Austin
in 2008 to church youth ministry staff and volunteers. Read more...
Consulting Services
Support
One way we impact others is by helping other suicide prevention, mental health, and substance abuse organizations achieve their missions.
We make all of our skills, experience, and connections available to other organizations where needed. This applies to brand new start up organizations
who are very passionate about their new cause yet still trying to figure out next steps - all the way to established organizations who only need help in a
specific area where we have expertise. It can be almost anything, but examples include promotion, technology, sponsorships, project or event management, finding speakers,
graphic design, merchandise sales/fulfillment, publicity, and video production. Read more...
Better Off Rock'd Merchandise
Fundraising and Awareness
We get our shirts at a very low cost which allows the majority of the proceeds to be used for our other programs and services. The shirts also create awareness and help
remove the stigma of suicide and mental health by causing people to have conversations about it (ie, "What does your shirt say? What does it mean?"). In 2008,
we hope to continue developing a brand image through various clothing styles.

Speakers' Bureau
Support
We often run into situations where we or our partners need a professional and engaging speaker on suicide prevention, substance abuse, or mental illness. So we are starting a
speakers' bureau where pre-qualified speakers will be listed along with specialties and contact information. All listed speakers will go through a thorough endorsement process
before we will list them (background checks, reference checks, etc.) to ensure they meet high standards and represent themselves accurately. This is in the very early planning
stages.
